Let's talk about blessings… with the excitement, long hours, worry, and obsessing over perfection getting the store ready. I have been reflecting on the blessings in my life.
You see, I've had some major health complications, and at times, I didn’t know if I would live to count them. In my early twenties, I got very sick, which resulted in 2 brain surgeries that caused lasting issues that affect me to this day. I also have an autoimmune disease that can be debilitating some days. All along my journey through the pain and illness, counting my blessings has been comforting and therapeutic to me.
Knowing God has a plan for me fills my heart with gratitude and I recognize that God's greatest gift to me is my life! I survived to be able to love and nurture my children, mother and raise them, to see them grow into amazing and truly good people, including the daughter of my heart since she was 4. I've been able to love and help raise my sister's babies and a few more along the way
My sisters are my best friends and truly my biggest cheerleaders. I've had 23 years, so far, lol, with my wonderful saint of a husband. He has stuck with me through it all and still loves me. This store and the opportunity to have a business with my sisters is a dream come true and just the most recent blessing. I focus on the good, which helps me get through the hard parts.
