We proudly introduce our Featured Artisan for April/May, Madison Abdella, a talented artist and busy college student. Maddy's art has been featured in the renowned Suboart Magazine and the Fort Lewis Gallery-Durango, CO. We are happy to showcase her art and believe that this young artist will go far!
I’m Madison Abdella, a student at Fort Lewis College double majoring in Anthropology and Environmental Conservation, with a minor in Studio Art. Yea I know, it’s a lot. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, painting, or pretty much anything that can get me outside.
Recently I really like the aesthetic of hippies in the California desert from like the 70s, and mixing sort of sexy space robots with a pool/tupperware party. What were we taking about again? You don’t really see this with these pieces, but I get a lot inspiration from nature and personal experiences I have in nature.
Recently I’ve been featured in Suboart Magazine No. 19, and in the 63RD Annual Juried Exhibition at Fort Lewis Gallery.
